Better Than the Six O'clock News
The topic for this project was ‘Saving Downstage’, which I worked on together with Olivia Breeze. Our rhetorical approach to this was to contrast the normal and boring domestic routine with the excitement of a night at the theatre.
We used photography and photo-manipulation to create images that juxtaposed icons from each activity, making theatre the more interesting option and reinforcing this with headings such as ‘Better than the six o’clock news” or “More thrilling than ironing”. The campaign included a poster, website and an event take-away item, to encourage further participation.
